Her professional activities include obtaining, defending, enforcing and challenging intellectual property rights in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry and biotechnology.
Her interdisciplinary studies enabled her to acquire broad background knowledge in natural sciences. As part of her doctoral studies, she worked on the biophysical and functional characterisation of post-translational modifications to a co-receptor for cell entry of HIV-1 as well as an antifungal wound healing peptide of human saliva, during which she gained extensive expertise in the field of synthetic chemistry and protein biochemistry.
