We are pleased that our partner, Dr-Ing. Sophie Ertl, has been elected to the Board of the German Patent Attorney Association.
The Board consists of 18 patent attorneys. The main objective is the further development of the profession. The most important tasks are representing the interests of the legal profession vis-à-vis legislative and administrative bodies, advising members in matters of professional duties, mediation among members in disputes, supervision under professional law, preparation of expert opinions for courts and administrative authorities on draft laws and questions relating to fees, participation in candidate training, right of proposal for patent attorney members of the professional courts and examination commission, admission to the patent legal profession.
Sophie Ertl would like to thank all voters for the trust they have placed in her.
We wish her every success in her new role, which she will take up at the beginning of 2020.
