Angela Zumstein is a partner and managing director at Maiwald. She is an internationally recognised German and European patent attorney with a strong pharmaceutical background. She coordinates patent prosecution for clients worldwide and manages large patent portfolios. She provides strategic advice on matters such as opposition and nullity actions, as well as on post-grant management of IP portfolios. Angela has particular expertise in the field of organic chemistry, including speciality chemicals, catalysts, polymer chemistry and chemical engineering. She also handles the grant and enforcement of supplementary protection certificates throughout the EEA.

Angela provides expert advice to a broad range of domestic and international clients from both the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. For several years, Angela has been highly involved in addressing and working with international clients and is responsible for the Chinese market.

Angela has many times been listed as “IP Star” by Managing International Property (MIP) magazine and was also recommended as one of “Germany’s Best Lawyers” by Handelsblatt.
