Dr-Ing Sophie Ertl (partner at Maiwald) speaks on June 14, 2018 in São Paulo at an event called “IP and start-ups: How intellectual property can boost your new business” organized by the Brazilian law firm Dannemann Siemsen. The symposium looks at the impact of intellectual property on start-up projects and, in particular, the value of intellectual property rights for new business fields. The aim of the event is to clarify misunderstandings regarding patent protection, software claims and other IP rights and to introduce intellectual property as a strategic tool for start-ups.
