In cooperation with PATEV Associates GmbH, Maiwald will be holding the online seminar “License Agreements Made Easy” on March 18, 2021.

License agreements are among the most relevant and complex types of contracts for technology companies, and can arise in a wide variety of constellations. As a rule, they are extremely demanding, as they are regularly concluded over a long period of time and have to cover a wide variety of developments, both in the technology in question and in the market environment. In addition to difficult business valuation issues, there are also technical delimitation and definition problems as well as legal issues, in particular antitrust issues.

In addition to a general introduction to the topic of license agreements and related negotiations, the online seminar will focus in particular on the valuation of intellectual property (i.e. determination of license fees). In addition, antitrust issues will be explained and pitfalls highlighted.

Maiwald and PATEV will provide important impetus and highlight existing options for structuring license agreements in a way that is successful from a business point of view, as well as dynamic and legally secure.

The online seminar is aimed equally at executives and employees from the IP area or the research and development department. Our experienced speakers Elke Wurster, Dr. Marco Stief and Christina Koller will present the various topics in a practical and entertaining manner and will, of course, also be available to answer your questions.
