Workshop on the Current Discussion About and Perspectives for Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPCs)

On March 20, 2017, the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich will hold a workshop on the current discussion about and perspectives for supplementary protection certificates (SPCs).

Marco Stief is a member of the panel and a commentator for the areas of Bolar Exemption and Manufacturing Waiver.

The workshop aims to pool practitioners’ experiences and to integrate them into a study. This is then intended to prepare and evaluate possible proposals for change, which should be the basis for reform of the legal framework of SPCs. This reform essentially concerns Regulation (EEC) No 1768/92, Regulation (EC) No 1610/96, and Regulation (EC) No 469/2009.
