In the context of the newly created Unified Patent Court (UPC), Maiwald is pushing ahead with its drive to establish the firm as part of an international network of legal specialists. In April 2017, Maiwald joined the IP Lawyers Network UPCLA (Unified Patent Court Lawyers and Attorneys).
UPCLA® is a non-exclusive network of independent law firms in Europe with a particular focus on patent-related disputes. The goal of the alliance is to coordinate legal disputes over the whole jurisdiction covered by the Unified Patent Court and to help companies in selecting legal teams best qualified to advise them and to represent their particular case.
Clients’ dealings with the UPCLA® are designed to be as flexible and uncomplicated as possible. A client’s first contact in the organization will remain at their side as a reliable partner, from initial consultation and analysis of the merits of the case right to up enforcement of judicial rulings. This person mediates client’s access to all (national) resources and, being familiar with the special competencies of the members of the network, can help companies obtain the best possible advice and assistance.
More information on UPCLA can be found at: http://www.upcla.eu/
The person you can contact at our firm is: Dr-Ing. Sophie Ertl
