Munich boutique IP firm Kotitschke & Heurung has joined forces with Maiwald Patentanwaltsgesellschaft. With immediate effect, the Maiwald management team will be augmented by the arrival of patent attorney Dr Ralf Kotitschke as equity partner and manager director. Also moving to Maiwald are expert in trademark law, Susanna Heurung and the other members of the Kotitschke & Heurung team.
Dr Ralf Kotitschke (49) is a German and European patent attorney and European trademark and design attorney. While his primary focus is on the area of patent applications, opposition proceedings as well as preparation of clearance opinions and infringement opinions, mainly in technology-based areas such as semiconductors, medical devices, automotives and optics, his other areas of expertise include industrial design and the law relating to employee inventions.
Dr Susanna Heurung (39) is an attorney-at-law, specializing in intellectual property, especially as it relates to trademarks, industrial designs, competition law, foodstuffs law and copyright. She advises on protective rights applications as well as on opposition, revocation and infringement proceedings. She has successfully represented clients before numerous German and European public bodies and courts, up to and including the European Court of Justice.
