Chemist

Carina is a patent attorney trainee at Maiwald. Her work focuses mainly on intellectual property protection in the fields of chemistry and pharmacy. In the framework of her doctoral studies, she developed molecular probes for visualising biological processes in fluorescence microscopy. These probes can be used, for example, in virological research on retroviruses. Her main areas of specialisation were nucleic acid and fluorophore chemistry. For this research, she received a doctoral scholarship from the Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds.
