As a German and European patent attorney, Thomas has more than 15 years of experience with inventions in the fields of life sciences, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. His earlier doctoral research was carried out at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ).
The focus of his work as a patent attorney is on patent grant and patent enforcement proceedings and includes opposition and appeal proceedings before the EPO as well as nullity actions before the Federal Patent Court. Working together with specialized lawyers, Thomas advises and represents clients in infringement proceedings before the regional courts.
Thomas has wide-ranging litigation experience in drug-releasing stents, diagnostic assays, cosmetics, vaccines and antibodies.
