Maiwald extends legal advice on intellectual property law

With Dr Christian Meyer, the Munich-based IP law firm, which has been operating as a mixed patent attorney and attorney-at-law firm (Patentanwalts- und Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH) since April 2018, gains a proven expert in national and international intellectual property law.

At the beginning of May, Maiwald brought Christian Meyer, an internationally experienced attorney-at-law for intellectual property rights, into the legal team. “We are very pleased to have Christian Meyer as an experienced litigator, who is well versed in foreign and domestic clients and strengthens our patent and trademark law competences,” emphasizes Marco Stief, Partner and Head of the Legal Department at Maiwald. Last year, the law firm Maiwald had already strengthened its position in trademark law with the new attorney-at-law Susanna Heurung. Meyer is an experienced litigator regarding patent law, but also feels at home in trademark and design law. Advice on competition law regarding product piracy completes his profile. Most recently, he specialized in infringement proceedings at a leading IP law firm in Munich. He previously worked in Düsseldorf for an international law firm in Litigation & Dispute Resolution.
