On the Edge of Disclosure

We again had the pleasure of welcoming a large number of guests to the latest in our series of events “Protection of new technologies – claim formulations on the edge of disclosure”.

The speakers, who had clearly immersed themselves thoroughly in the relevant case law, shared their insights in a number of engaging and informative talks. After a brief welcome address by Dr-Ing. Sophie Ertl and Lutz KietzmannDr Derk Vos opened with the topic “Plausibility – A new condition for patentability? Dr Stefanie Parchmann then spoke on “Disclosure & Disclaimer – The Power of the Negative”. This was followed by Dr Dirk Bühler‘s presentation on “International relevance in infringement litigation – the advantages of non-essential features in claims”.

We are proud that our series of talks, which especially for non-lawyers are a mine of information and suggestions on diverse aspects of IP, have been extremely well received by participants. We always look forward to and enjoy the reception afterwards and the opportunity to make new contacts and renew old acquaintances.

Some comments from our guests:

“The Maiwald event last Thursday in the Düsseldorfer Malkasten was once again very interesting. A big thank you for the invitation. The talks more than lived up to the snappy title :-)”

“Yesterday’s seminar was very good indeed. Again, many thanks.”

“Always a rewarding event for me – a chance to learn from others and to exchange ideas.”
