Iris Müller is a patent attorney trainee at Maiwald, where she focuses on intellectual property protection in the fields of biochemistry, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. She possesses special expertise in the fields of stem cell and cancer research, epigenetics, and genome engineering.

During her PhD studies at the University of Copenhagen, she identified chromatin-associated proteins for stem cell identity maintenance using CRISPR/Cas9 and explored their mechanisms. As part of her research work as Research Fellow at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, she explored potential targets for the treatment of leukaemia.

She has presented her research results at international conferences, including in the USA, Scandinavia and France, and has had her work published in relevant specialized journals.
